Wow, Markalicious, I think you'd make an amazing evil genius. All you need is a big black cape and a henchman wearing something ridiculous... -looks at Sal- ...all you need is a big black cape and you'd be set!!!

Hmm. A villain with a cape. A henchman with a cape. What we need is a brute with a cape.<Looks at Klcp>

We need a whole caped brute squad. (Eyes Mike, Katie, Charlie, Laura and the gap where Jeremy has not signed up yet). Wait, capes and pants... Better add shirts too.

Hummmmm, what to do, what to do. After looking through my closet, I have discovered I do not own a black cape. I have a white bernoose type one, and a brown one with black rabbit trim around the neck, so I guess I don't rank evil enough to have a black one. Will have to do something about that in the future.

Sadly, we only have one cape between us in our house. Would shawls cut it?

Hmmm, evil shawl-wearing villain. I think I might write this one down...

Are we allowed to mention Muffin? ::whispers conspiratorily:: Or are we still maintaining the ruse of his murder?

I can neither confirm nor deny the rumours about Muffin hiding out in Marcina sucking down mojitos.

1) How did I start a topic without actually starting one?
2) I have a cape but it's blue. And I'm really not all that brutish...so howabout I be the pet of the evil mastermind. You know, like Voldemort's snake Nagini, or Giovanni's persian (Poke'mon reference). You know, every evil mastermind needs some sort of annoying little creature to bite at the heroes' ankles!

You may not be Mark's pet...People will talk. As I will refuse to wear a cape or cloak at Origins (a creepy guy I graduated college with does it for no reason every year) you can opt to apply to be my comedic sidekick. It has less responsibility and respectability than scut monkey but you get more memorable lines.

No, see. I never have any good lines. Just those jokes that are funny until they come out of my mouth. That's why I need a non-speaking roll. Also, I didnt understand the first half of your post, Sal.

Kara, I think Sal was referring to Laura being my scut-monkey and her refusal to do diapers and windows.

Yeah, you got a monkey. You cannot have a monkey and a cow-girl too. As for dialogue... We will just work on that. Can't have a silent Origins buddy. Perhaps we can use you to feed us the "straight man" lines.

Is that the same guy who scared us at karaoke?

In a comedy team (a very old concept from the days of vaudeville), the straight man would set the joke up for the funny man to complete. He's the guy or girl that makes the joke funny by delivering the dialogue as a serious concept before the partner makes it silly. It's actually the harder part of the act to do because you have to carry the act along in a full routine. In a game setting, you just have to lob up statements about the situation or villian for your comedy partner to zing.

I already do that...a lot. Unfortunately it usually ends up that I'm setting MYSELF up to be the butt of the joke. (Although it HAS gotten better since Kaitlin and Kyle started coming to cons...they get made fun of now too sometimes so it's not ALWAYS me anymore).
